Jonathan A. Wilson was appointed as the Special Agent in Charge of the Philadelphia Division on January 21, 2018. As the Special Agent in Charge, Mr. Wilson is responsible for the oversight and management of all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) enforcement, administrative, and support activities and personnel within the division’s area of responsibility, which includes the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Delaware. The division is composed of the Philadelphia Division Office; one District Office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four Resident Offices in Allentown, Harrisburg, Scranton (all in Pennsylvania), and Wilmington, Delaware; and one Post of Duty in Dover, Delaware.
Mr. Wilson previously served as the Associate Special Agent in Charge of the New York Division Task Force from October 2015 to January 2018. Prior to that, Mr. Wilson spent 10 years with the Philadelphia Division as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge. Mr. Wilson has served in a variety of other positions within DEA, including as a Staff Coordinator with the Special Operations Division (October 2003 to September 2005); the Resident Agent in Charge of the Wilmington, North Carolina Resident Office (May 2000 to October 2003); an instructor in the Practical Applications Unit within the Office of Training (January 1998 to May 2000); and a Criminal Investigator in the New York Division (June 1988 to January 1998). Mr. Wilson graduated from Basic Agent Class 59 in June 1988.
Mr. Wilson is a native of Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Delaware Valley College in May 1987.
